Emel Başarık Aytekin
She was born in Aydın in 1983. She graduated from the department of interior architecture at Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Faculty. She completed her master’s degree in 2009 with her thesis named as “Analyzing Harem at Topkapi Palace According to Interior Architecture perspective”. In the year of 2013 she got PhD degree from the same department with her thesis on “Negative and Positive Interaction of Form and Function at Modern Art Museum Places, Interpretations and Suggestions”. She won first prize in 2006 at MOBDER Trend Ol stand design competition with her design named as “Her Dem” and won 1st honorable mentorship award from Furniture R&D Project competition by Mediterranean Export Union in the field of Social Responsibility by her design named as “Kucak” in the year of 2013. In 2015 and 2016 she worked as a Project consultant at the Corporate Social Responsibility Project of Value for Tomorrow by the coordination of Su Sustainability Economic Environmental Management Consultancy. She still works as an assistant professor at Mimar Sinan University and continues her own drawing art works at her own atelier participating various exhibitions.
